First, let me tell you that I received this book as a Goodreads first reads. I'm so glad I did.

Rhenna Morgan titled the book What Janie Wants, but it could easily be "What (Insert your name here) Wants. This is a fantastic tale in which an older, recently divorced, not very confident woman, Janie, is on an "escape" vacation arranged by Janie's sister Emmy. As she enters the resort to check in, she meets Zade, a young man who has also recently had an upheaval in his life. Let's just say that most women and guys wouldn't envy the way they met, but it is memorable.

During the course of the stay, Janie and Zade have to decide exactly what they want out of the next part of their lives, and how much they are willing to put themselves out to achieve their desires. The age difference is a big obstacle in Janie's mind, so quite a bit of the book is devoted to that part of the story.

In the end, though, they do help each other immensely, and I loved that and the romance.

Definitely recommend this book.

What a fantastic story. I love the compelling story of an older woman whose life has been turned upside down by an ex-husband who because of a midlife crisis and selfishness divorces her and leaves her feeling unloved and unsure of herself.

In the end my favorite character is Zade, a man made for her in every way. He may be younger than her but he's more mature than her ex-husband ever was. Zade makes her feel wanted, loved, sexy and like she can do anything.

Its hard for Janie to accept how much Zade means too her when his appearance in her life was so sudden and unexpected. His incite and words of wisdom seem in contrast to what she thought someone his age would be. His maturity frightens her and at the same time excites her.

If a thought of being with him scares her then a thought of being without him suddenly becomes downright frightening. Overcoming obstacles seem impossible, but are they really........

I loved this book. It was a short read, but well worth my time. Definitely a keeper....
