I've read books by Kevin DeYoung before and have fully enjoyed them. This one had lots of repetitiveness throughout it. Also it seemed as if he was giving us the entire history of the Bible again, when they assumed that Christians are the ones reading the book, and hopefully know about it already. It was very long and a little boring UNTIL the last chapter!!! The last chapter was spectacular and I enjoyed that. There were a few things mentioned throughout the book that was really lovely however, so I am not saying this is a bad book by no means.

The book is about exactly what the title states: The Church's mission, Social justice, Shalom, and the Great Commission. If you are interested in any or all of those things, of course you are more than welcome to pick this book up and read it (which is why I did so).
