I thought I would get the new post started this week!

Just finished Sex Bomb by Jamie Sobrato.  It was good.  I liked the kickass heroine and hero.  It was a quick read and the subplot was interesting.  This is the first Blaze I've read by Jamie.

I decided to read one from my keeper shelf called Tell it to the Marines by Amy Fetzer.  Love a man in uniform! LOL

Well, I got distracted yesterday when I brought home an original copy of Mackenzie's Mountain by Linda Howard so I ended up skimming thru that book.

Now I'm back to Holiday Heros, into the second story by Catherine Mann.  Hopefully I'll find the time to finish it today.

I finished The Boy Next Door/Meg(gin) Cabot and Dark Protector/Alexis Morgan....I don't know if I want to start the next one in Morgan's series or read something entirely different. In addition to whatever I'm going to start, I am reading High Stakes, the first in Erin McCarthy's vampire series.

So I guess you enjoyed Dark Protector enough to continue with the series huh? :)  That's good to know.  I am halfway though Tall, Dark and Filthy Rich (Blaze) by Jill Monroe.  And I'm excited that my ebay purchases arrived yesterday - Adele Ashworth's Stolen Charms and Winter Garden.  I read some good things on here about them so i took the plunge and bought them.

Still reading Scandal  by Julie Kistler for a swap I'm in.  This is the third installment in the Perfect Timing Blaze miniseries.  I've really enjoyed them.

Just finished Catch a Mate by Gena Showalter.  Not sure what I'm going to read next. Nothing is calling to me yet.

I finished up 'fim strip' and 'untouched', a blaze title by samantha hunter. I liked this one a lot! started 'strip poker' the 4th and last in that mystery series by nancy bartholomew. 2 strong contenders after that are 'take a chance on me' by susan donovan and 'the real deal' by lucy monroe...with backups in the car LOL! have a lot of harlequin type books to read that I'm debating starting - one by karen templeton that came out this month and sounds good.think it's a silhouette SE about a father getting custody of his daughter when his exwife dies and his exwife's friend I htink it is helps them out. might grab that one to read after strip poker..or before if I can't get into the mystery or these other 2...

I finished up Forgotten Marriage/Paula Roe--a Silhouette Desire book about a billionaire who loses part of his memory, including the fact that he has a wife, after an accident....pretty good, quick read....I decided to go with Shadow Game/Christine Feehan next--it's been languishing in my TBR pile for a while now.

I finished off Holiday Heros this afternoon.  It was great!  I picked up a Valentine-themed Blaze, Sinfully Sweet by Janelle Denison, Jacquie D'Alessandro, and Kate Hoffmann.  3 separate stories in 249 pages.  I seem to be on a short story kick lately.

Read Forget Me Not by Marliss Melton. I enjoyed it. Can anyone tell me if Leila and Sebastian's story is continued in the other books?

Leila and Sebastian are in her next one In The Dark but I don't believe the book focuses solely on them.

Decided to read one from the keeper shelf to get myself back in the reading mood - Dark Highlander by Karen Marie Moning.  Man I love the hero in that book LOL!     Shari - Shadow Game is good - thats the 1st book in the Ghostwalker series.  Jennifer - Leila's story continues in the next book but not as a stand alone story.

Thanks Susan and Sherri. I read the book descriptions and it didn't look like they had their own book. I was hoping their story would continue. I just started In The Dark so I'm only a few chapters into it.

Susanna, I've read Take A Chance On Me.  Isn't there a teenage daughter and the dog performs. I'm pretty sure I've read all of the books Susan Donovan has out. I enjoy her books and wish she'd hurry up and put out a new one.

Sherri--I read Conspiracy Game first, then Deadly Game, so now I'm backtracking through the first three! I really liked the two that I have read and this one is shaping up to be just as good.

I just started Bride of Black Douglas and so far its pretty good.

Sherri

P.S. How do you pronounce your name?  Is it "Share-re" like mine or "Shahr-ee"?  Just curious!

Still haven't started Forget Me Not.

Did finish A Perfect Gem, by Melynda Beth Skinner.  It was a cute story, about a tavern owner and her uncle, and the caper they are pulled into involving a very large sapphire.  The author changed narrators pretty frequently (and generally used first-person, which I often dislike), and that was somewhat distracting, but it turned out to be fairly entertaining.

Also read Three Weddings and a Kiss, an anthology with stories by Catherine Anderson, Loretta Chase, Lisa Kleypas, and Kathleen Woodiwiss.  I'd read some reviews on Amazon before starting this, and have to agree with many of them--the story by Anderson was sort of silly, the Woodiwiss felt very short, the Kleypas wasn't bad, and the Chase story was the best of the lot.  I'd never read anything by her before, and may look for some of her other books now.

Just started Valentine's Day Is Killing Me, another anthology.  The first story was somewhat funny, so points for that!

I'm still reading Shadow Game.....but my NASCAR Holiday 2 arrived today so I'm alternating between the two....oh, wait...make that three---I've got High Stakes (Vegas Vampires) on my nightstand.

Sherri--It's pronounced just like yours--my mom just wanted to spell it differently. I tease her by saying she watched too much Lambchop while she was pregnant LOL :)

I started The Last Arrow this morning as I flew from Pittsburgh to New Orleans and I'm already 3/4 through it!  I'm really enjoying it - the history, the characters - of course it helps that I've always enjoyed the Robin Hood legend.  I'll definitely be looking for more of Marsha Canham!

I'm trying to clean house and so far the only accomplishment has been vacuuming the master bedroom, 2 loads of laundry, and putting the cushions back on the couch..sigh..my dogs like pulling them off on the floor and lying on them...really need new furniture but now way I can with the couch-eating labrador...ok time to tackle the kitchen!

oh, stil trying to stay interested in 'take a chance on me' by donovan..pretty funny so far but not very far into it but they've both felt the 'zing'! :-) work tomorrow night and the next 2 so hopefully I'll finish it up tomorrow night.
