I started my first book by Thomas Kinkade. It is called CAPE LIGHT and the first of several that takes place in a town called Cape Light. I am enjoying it and looking forward to reading more of them.

I'm reading Flabbergasted by Ray Blackston and I'm really enjoying it! There's humor in almost every page!

I'm reading Savannah from Savannah by Denise Hildreth. I didn't think  I was going to like it, but I am enjoying it immensely!  I highly recommend it!

I have really enjoyed all of Denise Hildreth's books. Her latest one, Flies in the Butter, is excellent also.

I just finished Summer by Karen Kingsbury...an excellent addition to the Baxter series, comes out in August.

Also read All in One Place by Carolyne Aarsen, didn't really care for it. I liked The Only Best Place (same characters) so much better, so it was a disappointment.

Now I'm reading Only You by Deborah Bedford, an author who is hit or miss for me, so we'll see how this one goes.

Ted Dekker's books are good if you like thrillers. He writes from a Christian worldview. My husband loved   Three and I read  Blink.  His trilogy  Black,  White  and   Red  have also been recommended. He is a combination of Michael Creighton and Frank Peretti.

I also liked Savannah from Savannah, currently waiting for the next 2 books; they've moving slowly on my wishlist :-)

Currently reading Flee the Night by Susan May Warren - first I've read of hers, and although I'm not very far into it, I'm really enjoying it - it's reminding me a little bit of Dee Henderson.

Btw - I love all the recommendations on here!  If only I could keep up........

Reading Split Ends by Kristen Billerbeck.  I think it's my favorite chick lit so far - I don't usually like that genre but this book is changing my mind!  :-)

So what did you think of Split Ends once you finished LIndsey? I liked it, she is a good chick lit writer. It's nice to have a Christian alternative for chick lit.

I am reading Playing With Fire by Melody Carlson right now, it's the third book in the Samantha McGregor YA series. Really good. I just read Notes from a Spinning Planet: Mexico by Carlson too, and it's amazing that these books are written by the same author. They don't have similar styles at all.

I loved Split Ends, Melissa!  I'm so surprised because any chick lit I've tried I couldn't even finish... I'll have to try her others now.

Do you like Notes From a Spinning Planet series?

I haven't really liked them as much as I have liked her other books. They often seem like a warning about the different countries they visit--the last one in Papua New Guinea was depressing and made me never want to visit! Fortunately this one was set in Cabo which wasn't so bad--although she did touch on a few of the things the natives go through when living there and dealing with spoiled tourists. If I wasn't reading them for review I probably wouldn't take the time to read them.

Melissa---who is now reading Trouble in Paradise by Robin Lee Hatcher.

This is not a genre I would ordinarily read. However ... I'd hadn't realized that the "Dearest Dorothy ..." series by Charlene Baumbich was classified "Inspirational/Christian Fiction" until after I'd read the first one. I'm looking forward to reading the latest one on an upcoming trip.

I'm currently re-reading And the Shofar Blew by Francine Rivers. What a powerful book!

The Restorer (The Sword of Lyric, Bk. 1) was awesome!  I highly recommend it.  :-)  I haven't read any of the Becky Miller series.  This is a wonderful fantasy, but that wasn't the best part... it was very spiritually uplifting for me.  I can't wait to pass it on!

I'm reading The Dead Whisper On by T.L. Hines now.

Melissa, Melody Carlson is amazing, isn't she? It baffles me how many books she's written! I have all but one of her "Just Like Jesus Said" children's books. They are SO sweet and I can't wait to have a child to read them to. :)

Y'all are making me anxious to dig into Split Ends!! It will have to go on vacation with me this week.

I just finished The Guy I'm Not Dating by Trish Perry, I really loved it! I really enjoy all the new Christian chicklit. Lindsey, have you read the other Kristin Billerbeck series? I have liked everything I've read by her.

I'm currently reading The Baby Chronicles by Judy Baer...it's the sequel to The Whitney Chronicles, which I loved. I have enjoyed some of Baer's other books, but The Whitney Chronicles is one of my favorites. This one is good too.
