Live on the air my niece and I heard this joke not exactly but basically the same:

  • "Joker: New research has shown that there is a very accurate test to tell if a person is gay.
  • DJ: Really what is it?
  • Joker: Simple. The person is asked to eat a hot dog.
  • DJ: How does that help?
  • Joker: If they eat it from the middle then they are straight."

We were very offended, me as a gay rights supporter and her as a young bisexual woman. Not only was the joke not even close to funny or making sense but neither of us found it at all ok to tell a joke like that on air.

So what do you think?

I would be calling the station manager and making them aware that I found the DJ's humor offensive.

Exactly what Charlie said.  I must not have a funny bone because I don't think that joke was funny either.

you should call and have your friends/coworkers/anyone supportive call.  the more complaints the better!

Extremely stupid.  I'd change channels and tell them why.
