If you have a deal going (like 3 for 1, etc.) that's posted on book bazaar and you have someone who requests one book and does not pm you with their freebie requests (maybe not seeing the deal offered) do you pm them letting them know of your offered deal and ask them if they want to pick 2 freebies?  And if you do, how long seems reasonable to wait for their reply as to whether they want the other books and which ones before you mail the originally requested one?  I hope this makes sense - I've had it happen a couple of times now and don't really know how to handle it.  Help!  Thanks!

Hi Kathy! I've had overlapped requests where someone ordered a book from my bookshelf then someone orders from my book bazaar offer page but didn't pm me....the same book! That might be what happened-they ordered straight from your shelf! I am sure they would love having a 3/1 offered! WHO WOULDN"T! lol     I now always state on the book bazaar page that they MUST pm me as well as posting there PLUS I tell them it's first come first served and fill orders in the rank they were received between the two sites.   It just makes it easier to fill orders if they go the extra mile and let the US know. Most people here are THE BEST at helping others!!!  I also tell them I am waiting for their reply asap and give them 24-48 hours.I feel if you know you have an active book request you SHOULD be checking back regularly out of respect for the sender. I am sorry you've had a difficult experience here -I have had all (but 2) great transactions.   GOOD LUCK!!!    Valerie

I've had this come up a few times in the past week.  All of the people who ordered a single book had done so by searching for it and weren't aware of my deal in the book bazaar.  I extended the offer of picking a freebie and said I'd wait 24 hours for their reply.  I heard from all of them, but I was prepared to mail the book off as a single if they didn't reply.

That's what happened - they must have searched and found a book and ordered it not seeing my offer on book bazaar.  I did pm them asking if they wanted 2 freebies according to my offer - they pm'd me back asking what I meant - I pm'd them explaining the offer (whew - lot's of pm'ing!!).  I have not heard back from them yet - it's been about 3 days.  I guess I will just mail the book out.  In the future though I will give them a time to pm me back with their requests - good idea!  Thanks for the suggestions!!

I would just mail the books out. :) You were nice enough to let them know about the deal, however, you don't have to wait for weeks for a reply. :)

I like the idea of letting the member know they have 24 hours to reply. Thanks for posting that. Great tip.
