Hello all, I have a problem and was hoping someone could help me. About a month ago I listed a book and it was immediately scooped up because it was a wish list book. So I packaged the book and mailed it to the requestor. Awhile later I get the book back and it has a red stamp on it but I cannot make out what it was because they stamped it on tape. So I pm'ed the requestor and asked if they wanted me to send it again, and they did. So I repackaged the book and sent it once more. Yesterday I receive the book again and it says that the address isn't sufficient and my mailman tells me that it probably said that the first time and that the address may not be real. Okay so I contact customer service and go to pm the requestor. I sent the pm and then went to view their profile and it says they are no longer a PBS member. Customer service hasn't got back to me yet but it's only been a little while since I sent it and I know they will get to me soon but I was wondering if there is anything else I can do. I hate that I spend almost 6 dollars on shipping and the requestor didn't get the book. Any suggestions???

Contact Customer service and ask them to cancel the request as the requestor is no longer a member. Just wait until they get back to you.

ETA: I'm sorry you were jipped on the postage, though. =/

hmmm, well if they aren't a member anymore it would be hard to ask them to confirm their address.  I would probably just relist it.

is it a hardback book?  I'm trying to figure out how you spent so much on postage since media mail is $2.13 for anything 7.5 - 16 oz.

I can't believe you were charged again for a delivery that didn't take place.  Maybe you should ask this question - the postage part - in the postal forum, unless it's no big deal, then just ignore me.    :>)

Nope it's not a hardback it's a larger paperback and cost 2.63 each time. Thanks for the posts everyone!

Yikes, that's too bad.  I guess the lesson learned would be to verify your addresses on USPS.com before sending packages and PM the recipient if there's any issue.

Personally I have not done that, and never had this problem.  Sorry this happened to you!

ahhh, understand now.  those larger paperbacks will get you, although I've never seen a paperback over 2 lbs before, doesn't mean they don't exist!
