I have 10 books to mail.  8 requested and then 2 that I made a deal w/someone over.  The post office won't think I'm some sort of mail terrorist will they?   I suppose they'll assume I'm an ebayer.

I have mailed many more than that at one time.  I think my high one day was 42 and I made two trip to the post office for that one.   My mail persons don't mind me coming in with that many at all and they are very good at calling someone else up front to help the other customers since I take awhile.

Well if you are asking what's the most books I've mailed at one time to ONE person, that would be 20.

If you're asking how many books I've mailed to individuals, during one trip to the PO, then that would be about 10 or 12.  They didn't even raise an eyebrow.  Plus the PBS logo is on all the packages, and when they asked what it was and I said books, they acted like every other person they wait on has 12 books to mail, no biggie.

I've seen ebayers in the PO with a few dozen packages.  I figure they'll get looked at before I do.  Have fun!  As soon as I left the PO I was mentally going thru my wish list knowing all those credits were coming my way!

I wish I had heard of this years ago. I just signed up the other day.  I have had 2 more books selected.  So I have 12 books to mail tomorrow to 11 dif people.  I still have one on wish list hold.  I hope they respond by tomorrow AM so I can mail that one as well.  I guess I know how my day will be spent-AM-wrapping books, Afternoon-mailing books.

I mailed out 22 packages a week or so ago.  It had been awhile since I had posted books, so I posted about 40+ books in one night, and many of them were wishlisted/requested right away.  I had never mailed out anywhere near that many before, so it was crazy to me.

I'm pretty sure the PO was overwhelmed because we live on a rather small island, and I doubt they get mail like that very often, lol.

I mailed out 4 today.  2 were under 7 ounces, 2 were over.  All were under 13 ounces.  The guy at the post office was so very confused.  I tried to tell him that I wanted to send the 2 under 7 ounces by first class, but he was trying to tell me that it would be 2 cents more.  No.  Yes.  No.  Yes.  Finally I asked how much exactly does that one weigh?  6.3 ounces.  Well it's under 7.  No, it has to be under 6.  No - 7.  No - 6.  AAAHHHHH!!!!!  It all worked out.  Finally.

I just mailed out about 20-25 in the last week.  Never have I had more than 3 or 4 before.  I hate looking at the amount I spent at the PO in the last week (more than $60----thank god for Media Mail)

I always get a chuckle when I go to my account and see "how much money I saved" listed there....it pales in comparison to how much money I've spent on postage!  I don't want to know how much I've spent but since I have amassed 52 credits, I know it is far more than I've "saved".  LOL

Edited to add the most books I've sent out in one day was over 100 - in three boxes (one weighing 70 pounds).....but those were a gift to a church library for someone I "met" on PBS!

I just signed up last Thursday and scoured my shelves for my old paperbacks (I'm one of those bibliophiles who has every flat spot in her bedroom covered with a pile of books).  The result was I posted well over 40 books.  By Saturday, I mailed out 22 packages (not books, there were a couple of multiples).  On Monday, my fiance went to the post office and mailed out another 21 packages.  I had 47 books mailed in those two groupings.

The post office hates me.

Anyhow, I have a game plan to prevent such huge mailings in the future.  This Thursday, I'm only going to add 10 books to make sure I don't get flooded with wishlist requests again.
