Although I cut my teeth on SF I had drifted to other genres as time passed.

"Wheelers" reminded me how much fun good SF can be! I really enjoyed reading this book.

The science is solid, the plot and premise make sense, it's original, and it's a pleasure to read. Also, this is the most original end-of-the-world novel I think I have ever read. The threat comes from out-of-this-world...Jupiter to be exact.

Although Jovians have been used numerous times, I think this is one of the most original uses and creatures I have ever seen. Not to mention the residents of Sol, which isn't that common.

The characters are well written, sympathetic, easy to identify with, and the space sequences are great. Everything is actually how I would imagine it.

Read it.
