I think this a really good book but I just couldn't get interested in it for some reason. I got about half way thru it and just quit.

I personally loved the book, but my daughter said it was dragging in the beginning, but once she got into it, she really enjoyed reading this book too.
The book was published in 1993 and deals with what 1998 could be like after a civil war.

from the back cover:
The year is 1998. Constitutional rule in the United States has been abolished. The People's Movement, a radical, collectivist regime, controls most of the country. Standing in their way of total control are the Constitutionalists, a tough resistance group whose ace in the hole is The Almond Project, the code name for three Trident submarines cruising the seas with eniugh nuclear warheads to maintain a balance of power.............

A chilling novel of America's next civil war.
