I like the way Laura Lee Guhrke tells a story. This one is a typical 'romance' story. Lord is desperate for a bride and hires Lady to find him one. You can guess the rest. Yes, there is a happy ending. That is a given. The only downside of this one was the heroine was a little too angry most of the time. I can tell when I like the way an author tells the story: I don't skip most of the words to get to the end. I don't do this when Ms. Guhrke tells one and I didn't with this one.

Enjoyable story, especially the second half. Didn't like the "this is war" theme at the beginning, but Belinda thawed toward Nicholas and their story became much more romantic. 3.5 stars.
