The heroine is a lingerie designer in Regency England. Her unusual occupation and determination to maintain her independence are very important plot elements. Of course she is doomed to fall victim to a brooding, tall dark and handsome hero. Steamy love scenes and great dialogue.

I've had this on my "to read" list for the longest time. When I finally got a copy of it I was very excited to read it. The book started out strong. The main character, Miss Mary Marsh, is a woman of good breeding but is not of the titled class. She works as a seamstress creating garments for brides to be. The young lady she is working with suddenly dies at a very young age. The deceased's brother travels home from Egypt to solve the mystery of what has happened to his little sister. He is intrigued by this woman who was a friend to his sister, an employee in his house and feels a strong attraction to her. He is an Earl and she is convinced nothing will ever come of it.
As the mystery unravels, the two become more and more involved. I felt that by the end of this book the author let things drag out for too long. You could see the secrets long before the author reveals them and it just took too long to get there.

Loved this book that is a sequel to, the equally superb, Someone Irresistible!
A nice romance set in the 1850s
When the Earl of Renn learns of his beloved sisters accident, he returns home to England from Egypt. He believes his sister has been murdered and investigates her death. His sisters closest confidant is Mary Marsh, who has been employed to make the wedding intimates even risqué undergarments.
Through the investigation secrets and past scandals surface as Marcus and Mary fall in love.
This twist at the end was unexpected a nice touch in the typical romance plot :) Another great book by Adele Ashworth!

2nd book that includes the Marsh Sisters. This is Mary's story and it takes place away from London & the rest of her family. I enjoyed the book however the more I read I could determine what the different "secrets" were. Maybe I have just read too many of these novels but I kind of just kept waiting for it to come to those conclusions finally.
If you are looking for books that aren't your typical virgin reforms the rake then both of these books are perfect for that.
