I haven't read Lisa Gardner for a while, so I'm catching up on her books where I left off. This book was great! It has the best of 3 worlds: Kimberly Quincy, D D Warren and Flora Dane all in one book. Kimberly gets a call about a serial grave in a small town in the mountains. She gets a task force together that includes D D and Flora. Flora's boyfriend comes along. There's something going on in the town and they stumble across it. They find several graves. Young girls are going missing and townspeople are dying. Flora was brought there to help, but also to see if her kidnapper, Jacob, was involved going back years ago. He's long dead but still alive to Flora at times. Once they get started on the investigation, things start moving. Fast paced action, suspense. A young girl who is unable to speak and looks like she's had a stroke is highly involved and DD gets attached to her to protect her from the evil in the town. Great read! I listened to the audio book and I didn't want to stop. Best book I've read in a very long time!!
