I won this book WHEN THE SIREN CALLS from the author Tom Barry in a GoodReads sweepstates.

It took me awhile to get through the book as it was not a per say page turner for me. I heard it was full of sex and suspense. Yes on the suspense, but lacking on the sex. Just barely described so it gets a 2 star for that. The suspense is the 4 star rating. The main character Isobel, her husband Peter and her lover Jay are not very worthy characters to like. I found Isobel very wishy washy. She lets her hubby Peter and her lover Jay walk all over her. I just couldn't get any sympathy or any feelings for any of them. I got lost in all the descriptions of real estate and fraud business talk in the book. I do like how descriptive the author is on the setting of the market where Jay rescues Isobel to the living in Italian provinces. All in all is a worth a reading, but not a keeper that I would want to rerea
