First book I've read by Heather Lowell but I will definitely read more from her. This was an edge of your seat fast paced read. Short concise chapters pulled you in and wouldn't let go until the end. Great book!

I love DC settings, since I grew up there, so I might be biased. But this is a well-crafted murder mystery about a killer and the woman who stumbled onto his crime scene.

Thriller about a woman who witnesses a murder but suffers traumatic amnesia. As trite as that sounds, Lowell does a good job with the rest of the story, as she attempts to reclaim her memory and a pair of hunky detectives try to keep her alive long enough to catch the bad guy.

Claire Lambert was walking home from a late meeting on a rainy night in Washington, D.C. when she stumbled upon a killer in the act of murder. She runs for her life and gets away, but falls and hits her head in the process. The combination of head injury and traumatic situation cause her to lose all memory of the event. Unfortunately, she threw down her purse, her umbrella, and kicked off her shoes in order to run faster, so the killer knows her identity and has the keys to her apartment. The book is very suspenseful as the killer spends the rest of the book stalking Claire while the handsome, sexy police detective tries to keep her safe.
