This is another sweet Christmas read from Debbie Macomber.

The angels Shirley, Goodness, and Mercy are back! This time their earthly assignments lead them to Seattle and Leavenworth, Washington, to take on three very special cases.

There's Harry Alderwood, an ailing, ederly man who needs to convince his wife, Rosalie, to move into an assisted-living facility before his time on Earth is finished.

There's Beth Fischer, who ever since her divorce nearly ten years ago has given up on love, instead finding companionship through the online game World of Warcraft. Could her online partner, Peter, ever become something more than just a fellow gamer?

And finally there's nine-year-old Carter Jackson, who has been waiting patiently all year to get a dog for Christmas. But with his family in financial crisis, it looks like Santa won't be bringing him the one gift he wants most.

Who doesn't love these three meddlesome angels? Although the Archangel Gabriel always has misgivings about sending these three Prayer Ambassadors to Earth, you just know everything is going to work out in the end -- after all, it's Christmas!

This is a quick, cute read that's perfect for this feel-good time of year.

Wow-my first book outside of her Blossom Street series and I absoutely loved it. I read it in a few hours. The story of Mercy, Goodness, and Shirley are wonderful and at times funny and others more serious. I found myself crying at the end of the book from the way she ended everyone's stories. I think I enjoyed reading about Carter and Harry the best. Two thumbs up and I will definately read more of her Christmas books in the future!

Beautiful book. Posted with Three other Debbie Macombers Christmas books the same size and quality,"Call me Mrs. Miracle" The Perfect Christmas" and " The Christmas Basket".

Easy but fun Christmas read. Humans are difficult to help. Each of the 3 people helped experience miracles in their lives when they pray to God. Three angels are sent to help their humans. The angels are Mercy, Goodness and Surely sent by Gabriel heavens head angel.

Mercy is tasked with helping an elderly man 86 year old Harry find some peace before he dies as he fears leaving his beloved wife behind. Harry's best efforts are thwarted, but God takes care of his wife. The author does a great job of putting herself into Harry's shoes with his concerns as he dies. Goodness is to assist Beth who is afraid of taking a second chance at love ever since her forever marriage ended rather quickly. Beth has had difficulty finding love since an early and ill fated marriage but God has a surprise for her. Finally Shirley is to grant a wish to a little boy who just wants to keep Rusty the dog, but his family cannot afford another mouth to feed. Again an event unexpected happens to give the dog a forever home in answer to a little boy's prayer. The principle illustrated here is let go and let God handle our problems.
