I just mailed my first few books. One of the books was mailed with DC. Though I can see the package moving on the virtual map, I have yet to receive my credit. How long does it take for the PO to scan the book and PBS to issue a credit?

Apologies if this has been discussed ad nauseam. I'm new to all this.

Thanks,

Melissa

When your book reaches its destination and the DC # is scanned then you will know it has arrived. And the member receiving the book has to mark that the book has been received before you get a credit. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I used PBS DC.

I guess I am confused b/c I can see the little truck moving along the map, so am I incorrect in asuming that it has been scanned by the PO? If it has been scanned, where is my credit? :(

There was a little clear packing tape covering the bar code...could this effect the scan?

Much appreciate the feedback.

The little truck is an estimate of where it is.  If it gets scanned, there will be a white dot, and the route will readjust to show where it actually is.  You'll be able to click on the white dot for details.  The best part of DC, though, is that you can click on the little truck and it honks.  I am easily amused.

I have said this before but will restate it:  Do NOT forget that what you are paying for is DELIVERY confirmation and the PO has no obligation to scan the book until it is delievered.   Sometimes they DO scan it before, but oft times they do not.
