If a person goes to their WL or even the reminder list, they can see how long they have to wait and/or how many books are in the system.  Is there a way to see that in your Book Shelf?  Can you tell how far down the list your book is, to see where it falls and then guess when it might be getting closer to being requested?    D.

I think you can add it to your reminder list, and go to it, and it should show how many copies are in the system but not sure if theres a way to tell where yours sits in that number.

Cindy is right... currently there isn't a way to see where your bookshelf is in FIFO.

But, before you post a new book, add it to your RL, see how many copies are available, then immediately add it to your shelf.  That gives you a rough idea of where you're starting from in the FIFO line.

Every so often I post a book from my TBR that has a lot of copies posted. So it can works it way up FIFO.  I wouldn't do this with a lot of books. I do it with one or two at a time and I don't do it with anymore until I've read those 2.  Occassionally you do get orders out of FIFO order because someone is looking at your shelf.

I think the new system when they implement all the WL changes and combine the lists is supposed to show you how many copies are in the system. But not where in line yours is unfortunately.  On Swapadvd when you look up an available DVD on the info page it'll say there  are x copies posted.

Thanks for the info, everybody.  Guess I just have to be patient....there's already plenty to read here.  I really like sending out something that I've enjoyed so another person gets to appreciate it too.  It sure would be a nice feature to know where you were in that line, though.  Oh, well, tha's OK!         D.
