I am so glad I stumbled across Christiane Heggan a few months ago. She has never let me down, and she didn't with this book either. It was a great mystery/suspense with just a touch of romance. It kept me guessing until the end. A definite page-turner.

This was another amazing book. When a lady travels to a little town to a shop that was left to her in a will she comes across a few secrets the town people would rather keep hidden. Will her and the FBI agent Matt Baxter be able to unbury the truth in time?

WHERE THE TRUTH LIES is a fabulous romantic suspense starring two wonderful lead characters with a mutual interest in solving the homicide that initially looks like an obvious crime of passion, but soon turns into much more. The subplots involving the townsfolk, contraband, and the Baxters augment the prime story line of Matt and Grace teaming up with love in an investigation that is filled with red herrings and fabulous twists and turns. Christiane Heggan is at her best with this winner.

I really like this... so many possible culprits to ponder. A fairly clean read, too.... not just an excuse for sex, like so many books these days.

Steven Hatfield's murder is a shock to ex-fiance Grace McKenzie. An even bigger shock is he left her his art gallery in New Hope, Pennsylvania. When Grace arrives in New Hope, she finds she's not the only new person in town. FBI Agent Max Baxter has returned to his hometown to clear his father of a murder charge. He and Grace team up to find out who murdered Steven Hatfield, and what other secrets are buried in this rural Pennsylvania town.

Fast moving and very entertaining. I read this book in a couple of hours and think it is one of Christiane Heggan's best works. My rating: 4 Stars.

This is a good mystery/murder in a small town that covers up it's past. Interesting, believable characters and some romance, too.

nteresting story about Grace McKenzie running an art gallery in a small town in New Hope, PA. Her former fiancé left her the art gallery & although she does not want it, she has to spend a week at the gallery before turning down his request. At the same time, FBI agent Matt Baxter returns to town to clear his father for the murder of Grace's fiancé, Steven Hatfield.

Matt's investigation seems to tie Steven's murder to another murder years ago. As Matt & Grace join forces to unravel an art forger, two murders, affairs, wrong men imprisoned & a priest who isn't what he seems, they get closer to the truth and danger.j

Fast read, lots of interesting characters.
