This is a joke, right? Right? This storyline has been made into a movie several times - adoring nobody is mistaken for fiancée while object of her misplaced affection lies comatose. Ms. Jordan's hackneyed attempt to romanticize the story fails miserably. There is no character development, no subplots, nothing to make it different from the other stories in any way; you know exactly what is going to happen every inch of the way. This was a complete waste of time, energy & money. Bleh.

While reading this book I kept thinking that I know this story and sure enough it came to me, this story is so similar to the movie While You were Sleeping. Yes, the ending was a bit different but I couldn't get over that she borrowed almost all of the scenes in the movie!
I liked the book but wish it would have been more original.

Heavy on the fluff, but I thought it was sweet. No denying the distinct similarities to a favorite movie of mine, sporting some differences, so I thought the plot still worked here. You can easily picture a line of follow-up novels. I like the fantasy it spins and the erotic tension between Poppy and Struan, two appealing characters who were easy to root for. 4 stars.
