When Genna Monroe accidentally overhears a man murmuring very amorously to his potential one night stand, she finds she can't stop thinking about him. She tells Nick, her friend and co-worker, how she heard but didn't see the stranger and how turned on she's been ever since. She has no idea that the person she overheard was, in fact, Nick.

So Nick decides to pose as the 'stranger' and secretly invites Genna to a hotel room. With the lights out and disguising his voice, he seduces her and they begin a weekly affair.

Then Nick asks her out on a date. Eventually, they fall in love and she tells Nick about her 'secret lover.' Nick doesn't know how to - or even if - he should let on that he is that lover. Now he's jealous of...HIMSELF, as Genna still has feelings for this other man.

This is one of the best plots I've ever read. Very believable scenarios as to how Nick went about the whole thing. Very steamy, too! 5+ stars!

Lawyer Genna Monroe doesn't mean to eavesdrop on a private romantic liaison one sultry night in New Orleans. When she hears the man's sexy whisper, though, she feels as if he's seducing her. Now she can't get his voice out of her mind, and just thinking of him isn't enough. She has to have his body, too....

Nick Cavallo knows of his best friend's desires for a secret rendezvous, and is more than willing to fulfill them. He's wanted Genna for longer than he can remember, and who cares if their steamy nights need to be anonymous? Provided she never finds out the truth, he's happy...and so is she. But when Nick
wants more than just hot sex, he's not sure if Genna will want the man behind the voice....

Chicago attorney Genna Monroe hates the company retreat to new Orleans as that excursion interferes with her time schedule to become the youngest partner ever at Donne, Green and Raddison. She wants billable hours not magnolias like those that surround her in this garden. However, when she overhears a sexy encounter, Genna finds her blood stirred by the unseen, but sexy male voice, which she thinks is her colleague Nick Cavallo.

Four years ago, Nick met and fell in love with Genna, who has had no time for sex or to realize a man desires her in his life permanently. He now plans to seduce Genna though he knows his idea has several flaws that could backfire especially what happens when the masquerade of the Big Easy ends and they return to wintry Chicago. Still, he will indulge in her fantasy because that will enable him to luxuriate in his own dreams.

WHISPER is an exciting contemporary romance heated by Nick an intelligent hunk that all readers will want. Though why he patiently waited four years intelligence gathering like an undercover G2 before making his assault on Genna's impenetrable barriers and controls seems strange. Still when he finally attains the first part of his desires by sharing a bed with Genna, the audience will feel his release. Nancy Warren enflames her fans through her gorgeous male lead who makes the plot a rousing success.
