This will enable you, next time you are in an argument with a creationist, to say "what about polyploid speciation?" and other irrefutable arguments.

For someone like me, raised in a home antagonistic to Darwinian evolution, I would count this as the single most helpful book for breaking down misconceptions and clarifying half truths on the theory of evolution. This book is simply and clearly presented. I had never heard of some of the most basic arguments, and found the sections on dead genes, biogeography, and the continuity of the fiossil record to be particularly enlightening.

Excellent book!!! Very informative and entertaining. It presents evidence to dispute claims that creationists or people that believe in intelligent design that evolution is not true. Evolution is true. There are a lot of things that I didn't know since I was a science major in college a long time ago. There are a lot of things being discovered all the time. The author wrote in such a manner that things were easily understood and also stated what things creationists questioned about evolution. Evolution is a very volatile topic these days, but this book is an excellent source of concrete facts. I recommend this book very highly.

Contains more genetic/DNA evidence than other books on evolution I have read, which may be more a comment on the age of the books I choose to read.
