From the back cover: Lovely Emma Kendrick could not sit idly by while her stunningly beautiful younger sister Charmian was forced to wed the notorious Earl of Somerville. It was bad enough that Somerville was as cynical as he was handsome and as wild-living as he was wealthy. It was even worse that Emma's mother was willing to sell the dutiful and desirable Charmian into marriage to the lord of license. But Emma soon discovered the worst thing of all about the scandalous Somerville. When he took her in his arms, he more than lived up to his reputation as a man who could win any woman he wanted....

Overall, I liked this book. Her bias of Somerville is based on rumor and misunderstandings which he refuses to clarify. She seems to be the on making assumptions, but the author tries to flip it mid way through the book and have him make some assumptions regarding Emma, which just doesn't flow, especially since the Earl is not perfect, and one wonders how he can get on his proverbial "high horse". But the characters are mostly likable and sweet, except the mother gets annoying at times. Worth the read.
