Let me start by saying: This is a very dark romance. It has moments that might disturb some readers that are sensitive to forced seductions or unconventional sex. I rather enjoyed it, but like many of the LJ books I have read felt that at times her prose was a tad too wordy, and the ending too rushed.

I did, however, appreciate the angst of both characters, as usually only one is tormented and the other redemptive. In this case they find their redemption together. While I liked this twist, it did make me wonder how happy a couple they could ultimately be. Despite that this worked for me overall, because I really felt the emotions of the characters through the writing.

If you are a fan of dark, emotional, angsty romances, I would definitely give this a read.
