A FATAL ESCAPE — It was supposed to be simple. All Navy SEAL Nathan Malone had to do was rescue three young girls from a Colombia drug cartel, then allow himself to be captured just long enough to draw out a government spy. That was before his mission went disastrously wrong... and before his wife, Bella, was told that Nathan was never coming hom...  more »

I actually liked this one. She is a little formulaic at times in her books but this one had a different twist to it. Been looking forward to it since Nathan was rescued -- and it didn't disappoint me. Liked that the heroine was strong, had a brain, and didn't back down. He went through some pretty horrific things and I think the author didn't settle for making it easy in this one. He was still damaged but deep down had a heart. As an FYI - If your not familiar with this author be aware the sex scenes can be considered by some as adventurous - a little rough with an anal sex scene at the end (showing commitment, etc that this author tends to feature in many of her titles).

My first Lora Leigh book. Well, after the first six-page-long description of Nathan and Sabella having sex, the constant descriptions of their having sex was just overbearing; just too much. It had a pretty good storyline, but it was so overpowered by the repeated and long, vivid descriptions of their making love. I guess that must be what Lora Leigh is known for: sex, sex and more sex. After their lovemaking has been described two or three times, it's just ho-hum, boring. Just too much sex and not enough story.

I loved this book. I've read all the ones before this one...and so far I think this has the best story line. Not for the faint of heart...the sex does get a little rough at times. Good, HOT, STEAMY read!

This book will drive you crazy but in a good way. I literally put it down in frustration only to find myself picking it back up a few minutes later. I had a hard time with the character not telling his wife who he was and how devastated she was from his loss. I was happy with the outcome of the book and ended up loving it. It actually made me tear up in some parts. Love Lora Leigh and have to say I would recommend this book even though it is an emotional rollercoster from page 1.

Found the story predictable and the lead female way too whiny

This book was great. I am just love reading Lora Leigh. In this book you have the husband that has returned back from the dead to protect his wife. And finds a family secret out that explains a lot. If you like the alpha male then you will love this book. This is a very HOT read. This is part of the Elite Ops series, but you can read all of these books out of order. Again, if you are looking for a HOT read then this book will do it.

Not my favorite Lora Leigh Elite Ops book. Dangerous Game is a better book by the same author. Wild Card is awful. Six years has gone by, but the heroine is still in mourning for her former SEAL husband who "died" in a mission. I found the heroine far too needy and whiny. She wants him. She doesn't want him. She doesn't want anyone. She wants this new guy. Ugh. I wanted to slap her face and tell her to make up her mind. I prefer women who aren't constantly shifting from hot to cold. She's also one of the most spineless heroines I've come across. She supposedly runs an auto repair shop, but has no control over who gets hired or fired. She also puts up with an incredible amount of male domination, lying, and manipulation without ever really doing anything about it. He has few redeeming qualities. He lies to her constantly and betrayed her in an incredible way by staying away from her for six years and making her think he was dead. When he comes back, he stalks her, lies to her, spies on her, yells at her, etc. Call me weird, but I didn't find any of that loving or romantic.

This book could have been about a 100 pages shorter for they have the same argument over and over.

This is the best book so far. Lora Leigh continues what she started in the Navy SEALs series with Dangerous Game, Hidden Agendas and Killer Secrets. This book is the bridge betwen the 2 series. Noah/Nathan's story is heartbreaking but you are drawn to him and Sabella.
