This was a wonderful absorbing read about a member of the French Resistance running raids on German-occupied France out of Cornwall during WWII and the Cornish innkeeper that he falls in love with. Very suspenseful with the emphasis on suspense and espionage more than the romance aspect. Well-rounded characterizations and involving plot. My only complaint was the rather abrupt ending although the author did wrap up all the loose ends. If you like WWII British home front fiction, this is a little different than the rest but well worth your time.
