This series is a definite for your KEEPER shelves---!! Read and enjoy it once, and then go back to it in about 5 yrs and read it again! Nothing quite compares to it except Diana Gabaldon's series, but they each have a very different feel. Both wonderful, but Sara Donati should be given her due. It's a fantastic series. Great escapism.

I really enjoyed this book, which tells the story of the life of one of the characters in the Last of the Mohicans -- after the Revolutionary War.
