Wind in the Ash Tree: More Tales of My Small Country Living
Wind in the Ash Tree More Tales of My Small Country Living Author:Jeanine McMullen "No faith. That's your trouble!," Mrs. P. coolly tells her daughter Jeanine McMullen. But Mrs. P herself has enough faith to inspire Jeanine to move mountains of muck and all the other intransigent obstacles that block her way towards the idyll she knows that country living should be, but seldom is. — If the weather isn't raging... more », the money is running out. And then there are those animals -- wayward, promiscuous, and quite capable of doing a bit of kidnapping to get what they want, or letting Jeanine go through the agonies of birth for them while they nonchalantly catch up on their cudding. Even her other job, as a radio presenter, is just s hectic. The animals she encounters during her interviews for her BBC radio program, "A Small Country Living," behave just as outrageously and mange to create hilariously unrehearsed incidents.
The farm attracts a constant stream of visitors. Some, like Myrddin the neighboring farmer and Bertie the vet, provide welcome in moments of crisis.
