More of an essay on shorebirds, their evolution, migration patterns, and "lifestyles". Good in that it reminds of what the original migrations must have been like prior to these birds being wastefully hunted to death and the effects of mans' encroachment on their feeding and nesting sites and the indescriminate use of pesticides.
A great reminder of strong and wonderful nature truly is.
A little "dry" to read but packed into less than 200 pages is much information for the bird enthusiast.
