Although Vista may seem to be overshadowed by WIN-7 it will be around long enough for this book to keep its value. This is especially true as, from all I have read, WIN-7 has many of the Vista features included.
The section on finding and organizing files is a great help in understanding this vital, yet often overlooked, part of the OS.
The book may have a technical feel as it isn't written in the "Dummy" style, but with patient reading the user will discover the language to be valuable when working with the 'Help' tools of the OS. Also, there are a number of "Secret" inserts to expand and explain.
The security, media, data safe keeping, and other sections were complete in themselves but the connections to other features understandable.
A final note is the inclusion of an extensive Font section. This is especially valuable for those writing in foreign languages or using scientific or other symbols.
