This is an older book that was published in 1966. It is still one of the best books around for good basic understanding of wine.A quick review of topics covered are as follows: from history to growing grapes to making wines + brandies to comparing various world wines to understand each type of wine (dessert, table, sparkling) to evaluating + appreciating wines.
