I read the Pooh books for my children's literature class and found myself surprised by how much I liked them. They're witty and have bits of humor in there for the adult as well. They're worth a read, even if you don't have kids. Besides, it's fun to go back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh.

this is the first in the A.A. Milne's classic quartet:
winnie-the-Pooh
The House at Pooh Corner
When We Were Young
Now we are Six

More than sixty Years ago, readers were first introduced to Edward Bear Better known as Winnie The Pooh and his beloved companions. Whether Pooh goes hunting with piglet, celebrates Eeyore's birthday, or accompanies Christopher Robin and the others on an "Expotition" to the North Pole, he continues to captivate children as he has for generations.

A.A. milne wrote this book for his only son, Christopher Robin, and it is perfectly matched by Ernest H. Shepard's classic illustrations. Winnie the pooh brings a very special corner of childhood to life.

If I had to pick one word to describe this book, it would be "sweet." It truly is a very sweet tale of the Winnie-the-Pooh characters. A must-read for those who enjoy the Disney movies of Pooh, you'll appreciate them so much more. I wish I had read this book in my childhood!

A classic for children and adults. I enjoyed all 4 of the original Pooh books as a child and am now reading them to my 4 year old son. A must read for every child!
