a delightful audiobook. i'm an expat new york city person so it was especially nice to revisit lower manhattan with iris and vivienne and gio and the whole gang. half way through i thought that it was just a nice love story with some pain thrown in but as i neared the end of the book i felt how deeply the author wrote about the mistakes we make in life and how we learn to live with them. also about forgiveness. in essence, how we hold it all.
