Charlotte LaRue runs a busy home-cleaning service in (pre-Katrina) New Orleans. She stays busy with cleaning, family, romantic interest and - of course - murder. Great locale, interesting characters and suspense.

The new client of Maid-For-A-Day seems mean and vindictive, so it comes as little surprise wheh she's murdered after disagreements with several members of her garden history club. But in a way, there are too many suspects. The police make an arrest, but Charlotte Larue isn't sure they're right. Meanwhile, the killer seems to be stalking her.

Charlotte La Rue is busy running Maid-For-A Day and gets a new client. The prez of a gardening club and the members aren't happy planters.

Charlotte's not sure what to expect when she helps out at one of the club meetings. Some gardening chat, lots of good gossip, but these ladies have their claws out. There's talk of extra-marital affairs (did Mimi really sleep with Rita's husband?) and a bitter argument over the club's presidential election (Mimi won--but was it rigged?)

A couple of days later, Mimi's dead. The doctor says she was poisoned. But who planted it, and where? Was it in the bitter brownies Mimi munched before the meeting? Or in the wine she sipped later? Or could it be lunch with her husband? From Mimi's friends and neighbors to her scheming husband, there's a whole plot full of suspects to weed through.

This one kept me guessing til the end! I thought I knew, no, no, must be this one. No, no,

Hank and Carol decide to marry and Nadia has a baby girl! All's well that ends well and I want the next book in my hot little hands.
