I read and enjoyed some of it on the bus. He is fairly well known in California for his previous book, but of course it was in the 1920 census that over fifty percent of the USA was found to be residing in urban areas. I had it on the bookshelf at the old soldiers' home for eight weeks, but no takers. No wishes here so I will return it to 'free' book truck at the branch library where I found it so someone else can have it. It is about rather pleasant, low key, farm life, and especially about his dad.
