In the last week I've done searches on my favorite authors on a daily basis, using the Search that shows books listed during the last 24 Hours.

Three or four times I've found books that are on my wish list, but I haven't been offered them; I only discovered them by chance. And had there been others with those books on their wish lists, prior to my position, the books shouldn't have been available in the general inventory.

Anyone understand what's happening?

Are you sure that these books have the same ISBN #?  It could also be possible that you are on vacation hold, so no books would be offered to you.

They must have had different ISBN then the ones you have on your WL.  It won't offer you different versions but you can set it up to email you when different versions are posted. Otherwise you only get WL offers for the ISBNs you have on your WL.

If I'm not mistaken, the books under the "recently posted into the system" section means just that--not that they are available in the system now, but that they've been posted. So unless you are #1 in the WL line, you would not have been offered that book--whoever was #1 would be offered it, unless it was posted directly to someone's wishlist by a buddy. It still shows up under 'recently posted' even if it's not necessarily up for grabs to the general population.
