Due to circumstances beyond my control, I won't be PBSing for awhile (I hope only a short while).

There has been a wishlist hold on a book on my shelf for 2 days.  Now my account is on hold but it is still noted as on a WL hold for someone.  What happens if they decide they want it, but my account is not "open"?

I'll be around for about another hour...

Umm, I'm not sure, I'm bumping this for you.  I think that if you put your account on hold, it doesn't affect any current transactions happening to your account.  So, if they accept, you may just have to leave them hanging  til you're back.  But, if it times out, I don't think it will go to another person since you will be on hold.  But, I could be wrong!

I just don't want the person to not get the book if I'm not here to send it, but there's been no response and the 48 hours is almost up.  If she accepts in the few hours left after I log out, I won't be able to send it to her.  And I don't want "bad points" with R&R for not responding to her request, either.

One book you can't send isn't going to be a black mark against you.  Send it if you can, if you can't let it time out, and don't worry about it!

I hope everything is okay, Carly, and we look forward to having you back soon.

I would PM the requestor with an apology and just let them know that due to unavoidable and unexpected circumstances you're having to take a short time away from PBS.

I would PM R&R and let them know of the situation.  Then they can put that person back on #1 and you can repost the book when you are able. If the 1st person lets it time out it will go to the next person in line.
