I ordered A Death in Belmont by Sebastian Unger:

http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780393059809-A+Death+in+Belmont

It was refused because of my non-smoking condition.  There are two copies available.  I didn't get passed on to #2 - it just got put onto my reminder list.  I ordered it again, thinking it might get passsed to #2, and the same thing happened again.

I hate the new WL system, where it goes onto your reminder list instead of your wishlist if you are declined. :/

Is it possible both people declined your conditions?  You could check your Club Communications (under "My Account.")  It shouldn't go onto your reminder list unless there are no more copies available to you.

Also, you're probably aware that there's a paperback copy out there, too.  Am assuming you want the hardback?

Yeah, I think what happens is, unless that copy of the book goes out of the system, it's moved to your RL rather than moving you to #2, because otherwise if the next person in line (the one who became #1) declined it also, it would go back to you and you'd be caught in an endless loop requesting it and then the sender declining because of your conditions. Having never had conditions, I don't know exactly how that works, but I guess there has to be some way to break that cycle.

If a person declines your book because of conditions it will not offer your request to that person again-at least not for that same book.  It sounds like both people declined your request and so it put it on your reminder list.  You will have to WL it now I guess.

The same person has declined it twice based on the response to the request.  I can't wishlist it because there are copies in the system. :/
