I highly recommend this children's book to parents. My child usually doesn't pay attention during reading time. This book had his full attention. It was funny also. I enjoyed reading it to him too. This book is perfect for reading times to toddlers or older.

Also, this is the second book I have read by Mary Calhoun. She writes good old fashioned children's stories that remind me of my reading times as a child. When I read her stuff it made me smile. Any parent who finds reading to their child to be a chore should give Calhoun a try. There are copies of her books here on PBS. Give them a try.
