This is a fascinating account of the history of witchcraft through out Western Europe. Many people harp on the Spanish Inquisition but this book shows how prevalent the practice of witchcraft actually was. And what practicing witchcraft entailed. Today's murderers and child tormentors would have regarded themselves as witches back then.
This book provides insight into the medieval mind and culture and what motivated people to commit crimes.
