This is the first in the series. Good fantasy story to listen to on a long trip or while stuck in traffic. Keeps your interest. Would advise parental guidance for children under thirteen, however--not for young children.

Great adult fantasy series. Themes include, but are ont limited to sexual undertones as well as severe torture. A very good read if you do not mind these themes.

Awesome! A must read for anyone wth an imagination. An adult fantasy tour, unlike the twilight series.

Full of rape, torture, murder, blood and guts (literally). NOT good books, but very engaging. I was unable to put them down, and have lost a lot of sleep during the two months it took me to read the entire series. I cringed, I cried, I gasped, I had nightmares. I can't imagine what kind of twisted mind thinks up this kind of stuff.
In regards to the tv series based on these books DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. THEY ARE FULL OF CRAP THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BOOKS. I had to force myself to at least give them a chance, but was so pissed off within the first few minutes of the very first episode. I don't understand why the author had to butcher the story.
Anyway, read at your own discression. Not for kids or teenagers (or even a lot of adults :)

This book is very, very interesting. For die-hard science fiction/fantasy fans especially. This book contains very very heavy wording and it contains material that is suited for all readers

I love this series, but want to point out that it's not for children. The series strays far from the TV show, The Legend of the Seeker. It has adult themes not suitable for children.

I read this book because I loved the television series. I had never known this series existed until I saw the show. So of course I knew the books would be even better and I was not disappointed. Magic, adventure, romance, it has everything you need and more. It's just a great book and I recommend it to anyone who's into fantasy and adventure.

I hated this book but many people love it :) The first in a very long fantasy series.
