I'm a big fan of erotica, but this book fell flat from the get go for me. Just having sex with the faceless man seemed, well, weird. I prefer even erotica to have a nice full and flowing story line. The storyline is this one was, well, sex. HOT sex, yes, but that isn't a story. The other "plot" of the book was choppy and didn't flow at all. I actually found myself not wanting to finish it due to lack of care for the characters in it. I simply didn't CARE what happened to them. I knew without a doubt they'd all end up in bed together and that would be it, so why bother? I'll probably try #2 just to see if it's better. This particular book just wasn't for my taste. Lots of graphic sexual encounters with m/f, m/m, m/m/f, f/f. Plus even sex as animals, as the characters ARE shapeshifters. If that isn't to your liking, I do not encourage you to read this at all.

After reading the first chapter of Wolf Tales I it's easy to understand the mixed reactions. This is one weird book!

After Alexandria walks in on her fiance buck naked with another woman -- in their bed no less -- she decides to hop in her car and escape for awhile. As luck would have it, she ends up getting run off the road while caught in a blizzard. She begins to walk in the hopes of finding some shelter but gets all turned around and lost in the blinding snow. She succumbs to the cold and collapses in a heap giving up all hope of rescue. When she awakens she feels an intense heat emanating from the male form laying naked beside her now naked body. What? Where'd he come from? Overcome by lust and gratitude, she allows him to do as he wishes with her body. Never seeing his face. Yes, Never Seeing His Face. She then passes out from exhaustion. Life is so tough some days.

Thus begins Stefan (the naked, faceless man) and Xandria's love affair. From the moment they touch they're connected and Xandria finds herself overwhelmingly attracted to him despite the fact that he's, eh, covered in gray downy fur, has a "muzzle" and a beastly protrusion where a man-part is supposed to be located (I'm thinking this is where the other reviewers went "ick!!"). It's weird, oh yes it is, but so vividly written that you just can't turn away even though your brain is screaming "this is so not right, stop reading, STOP READING NOW!".

I'm sad to say this book went downhill at the midway point. A little more plot would've gone a long way here. One sex scene after another gets excruciatingly dull when there's no plot to get in the way. I ended up bored and skimmed my way to the end so I could it pass it along.

Plot Summary: 4 people discover they are not human, but Chanku, a race of people who can shift into wolves. They come together as a pack and as lovers in a polyamorous relationship. This book is erotica for the VERY open-minded. It has m/m, f/f, mmf, sex in shifted form, dubious consent.

Main Characters: Stefan and Xandi (hated her name)and Anton and Keisha. All of the characters were intelligent, open-minded, and very loving towards each other. Their love for each other pervaded everything they did, so, to me, the sex did not seem gratuitous, but an extension of how they felt about each other (albeit very quickly!) I really liked them, liked the way they communicated with each other, as wolves and as people.

Best About This Book: It was erotic AND romantic. The polyamorous/ werewolf combination seems unique to me and I liked that.
Worst About this Book: Well, to those who like traditional erotica or romance, it would not be okay, might even be offensive. I didn't feel that way however, and honestly, the only complaint I had was my dislike of Xandi's name.

Summary: For those who are really open minded with their erotica, this book is really something different and fun! I would read it again, but I am planning on reading the next in the series instead.

Burning hot, not for the faint of heart.
The characters were cardboard to me,and the whole thing suffered from lack of plot, but if you're looking for heat, it's got that in spades.

Sex is very explicit ~ there are multiple partners, f/f as well as m/m. Honestly I was expecting something different, I love were stories but this just didn't do it for me.

This book is definately a sizzler. Has "something" for everyone in it; and the story isn't bad either! I highly recommend it to erotica lovers.

Okay, this book is very ahem...erotic. It starts immediately on page 6. This is not for the faint of heart. It says it all on the back cover. It has a Warning! label with "This is a REALLY HOT BOOK (sexually Explicit) on the back. LOL I liked the story and am looking forward to getting the short story coming out soon.

When Alexandria's car goes off the road in a terrible blizzard, she has no idea night will bring a powerful rescuer and the start of an ecstatic sexual awakening. The moment Xandi wakes in Stefan's muscular arms, feels the heat of his body pressing against hers, she feels no fear. As she is drawn deeper into Stefan's mysterious world, she meets the alluring beauty, Keisha, as well as the dominant and sometimes ruthlessly commanding Anton, who can have any man or woman he wants...in any way he wishes...

The characters in this book shift into wolves. This book is very explicitly sexual. There are scenes with M/F, M/M, M/F/M, and F/F. If those type of sex scenes turn you off, this book is not for you.

The ONLY good thing about this book was that it taught me something about myself. I apparently DO need a good story line to enjoy a book and not just sex, sex, sex. Whew! Glad I figured that out. This book was plain awful! The characters were pathetic, the story line was weak and just a means to put sex scenes on paper. I'm so ticked that I ordered the first 4 in the series already or I wouldn't even bother with the others.

This is one of the worse books I ever started to read. Made it to page 75 before I put it down for good. Did not mind the varied and multiple partners but the sex with half changed wolves smacked of bestiality.

I really did not enjoy this one at all. I will try another one by Kate Douglas, but this was too graphic and had a writing style that seemed stilted and mechanical to me.

I liked these series. I do only have Wolf Tales I and II and not the others. I have yet to get them. Please be aware that this is what they dub as "REALLY HOT" book and is sexually explicit.

This is a really sick book. Right from the beginning a human having sex with a creature(man) cursed in a body half human/half wolf. Head of a wolf and his male part of a wolf.
I hope you get the picture. Never finished reading. I'm not that open minded.

My first erotic book. It was ok. The sex was very explicit and there was a lot of it. The story was ok but it seemed rather silly at times. All in all, it was a fun, amusing read. I may try another.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book and was surprised reading it. It surprised and made me blush in places in the story. Secretly, I almost want to find another and read it too. Definitely lots of steamy scenes with a little plot involved.

Very erotic read . Combines M/M, M/F/M, F/F and M/F. Good story in addition to the hot scenes.

This book was not that bad, but nothing to brag about either. Lots of sex and lots of sex. The story line to it was different but I'm not sure I want to continue with the series.

This is one strange book. I thought after reading as many paranormal romance books as I have I couldn't be surprised, but this book managed to surprise me. The story centers around the Chanku. They are a race who appear human, but they can, at will, shift into wolves. This is a very sexually explicit book, but everything is loving and consensual. The book has lots of sex and in many variations - f/f; m/m/f; m/m; m/f/m/f. So definitely keep this away from teens and children. I think some people are going to have problems with the Chanku mating when they're wolves. I wasn't put off by the fact the Chanku sometimes mate as wolves. If people shift between human and wolf forms, it's natural and even expected that they might have relations in their alternate form. I actually find it surprising that in other shifter books the people have relationships with each other only when they are in their human forms.

The plot could have been better. I didn't feel there was enough suspense or a clear sense of danger.

This is not the best book for someone getting started in the paranormal genre. It might be too much for a novice. I liked it enough to read more from the same author.

THIS IS A SHAPE-SHIFTERS BOOK WITH A LOT OF EROTICA. BUT THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR JUST ANYONE. ONE SHAPE SHIFTER THINKS HE IS CURSED, DOES NOT KNOW THAT HE IS A WEREWOLF. SO HE IS TRYING TO FIND ALL THE ANSWERS. THE OTHERS IN THIS ARE HOT AS WELL.

This book was definately different. The relationships are not very complicated, in my opinion. If you like breed stories this one definately takes its own path. The players all come together to form a pack. The sex is good and definately goes outside the box. The relationships are betweent all characters, male and female.
