By Marilyn French, her first novel. Excellent story about a group of women as they live their lives through the 1960's.

Didn't like this book at all, I only read 1/4 of it and realized I couldn't read any more of it. I donated it to a bookstore, maybe someone else will enjoy it.

The cover says "Arguably the most influential novel yet written about the choices women make, The Women's Room is a classic of modern fiction and a landmark in feminist writing." I really enjoyed it and found the 517 pages went fast and left me wanting more.

another old one.

probably a little more for women, although my husband really liked it--we had a really interesting discussion about the issues it presented. it is insightful, loving, and honest.
