In one bowl, mix all dry ingredients except sugars. Mix eggs, oil, buttermilk, and sugars together. Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet mix. Add figs and mix well. Bake cake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. I usually use a bundt cake pan so I don't know how this would come out in a different pan.
