I've been debating about the box o books program. I am wondering if it would be beneficial to someone like me who doesn't have hundreds of books on her book list. Does anyone else use this for just a book or two at a time? Or is it mainly geared for those who want to trade "boxes" of books. (as in more than a few)

I would say that most of my swaps are in the 1-3 range. It depends on the boxer. some will trade for one or two some won't. I think BoB is a wonderful service for HSers. LAdystyx |

Same here.....my BOB trades average 2-4 books. I find it easier to trade with someone who doesn't have hundreds and hundreds of books. It's just easier for me to search through their books and I find that less stressful. BOB's a great service for us. :) |

I think it depends on what kind of books you're hoping for. If you have a wishlist anything like mine (rare, some out of print, hard to find books), you may not benefit. If you're looking for stadard curriculum materials, I bet you'll hit the jackpot.

I just joined the box of books a few weeks ago I do not have even 100 books on my shelf but i have found it has helped me get some great books most people are friendly and eager to trade even if it is only a book or 2. most trades that i have declined are due to someone already requesting that book or conditions that they require their books to be in. (no smoke or pets) I really love the program overall and would recomend it. hope this helps angel |

I have to agree I have only been part of BOB 2 weeks also and I have alot of luck exchanging books with other people. Most of my trades have been in the 2-5 range. It's definately been worth the eight bucks. Last Edited on: 9/19/07 6:34 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
