Robert Macneil, co-author of "The Story of English" and co-anchor of the Macneil-Lehrer Hour on PBS, writes this memoir of his growing-up in Canada and tells how his love of words began. He sprinkles his story with the kind of tidbits concerning where words came from that you'd expect in a Bill Bryson book. A nice somewhat-autobiography of a Canadian's coming of age during the 40's
