I just recently started thinking there may be something to people's communication with "the other side", after a lifetime of automatic dismissal. I've been reading Rudolf Steiner, a truly great mind of the 20th Century. One of his themes is what he call "clairvoyance" and "occult science".

Ruth Montgomery was a very successful writer, and I don't doubt her sincerity. But most of the predictions in this book don't seem to me to have been borne out. Her Guides on the other side may have simply been mistaken, or not able to communicate clearly enough to her. As the sage Stengel said, "Never make predictions, especially about the future."

But do read Rudolf Steiner, if you can.
