This book at times was hard to put down.Reading about the tragedy that the people went through and the lives lost was difficult yet interesting. Each person had a different way of looking at their losses and the times ahead. Ms. Hemmingway puzzled me in her eargerness to write this book and her reasons for doing so. She was not present when the tornado went through the town of Vicksburg but knew so many people it affected. I look at this book as a way of honoring the lives the tornado took, but she felt at the time of collection of these stories she was intruding on the lives left behind. I hope she realizes how untrue that really is.
