**** John Callahan is a very funny guy, and a cartoonist. This autobiographical account gives insight into how a man suddenly quadraplegic learns to cope, adapt and embrace his life anew.

Fascinating view into John Callahan's life, mostly centering on his life after his car accident as an alcoholic 19 year old that left him a quadriplegic. It really drove home how alcohol caused most of his problems, and how it wasn't until he decided to get sober several years later that he turned his life around.
It's a good read; dark, starkly real, and written with a no-holds-barred attitude.

Not as funny as you would think. Disturbing, lurid, but ultimately inspiring. Definitely adult material.
