From Southwest Kansas to Massachusetts I took the book to the window at my PO on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. and it was marked received today...MONDAY! Way to go USPS! Thank you :)

Terry, I got you beat. I received a book on 31 May, which wasn't mailed, according to the date on the postage label, until 1 June. So I received it the day before it was mailed. Now, that's what I call outstanding service! (Yes, I know the mailer printed out the labels on a machine at the post office and selected that date.) Books mailed from KS must have been on the fast train last week. I mailed a book from eastern KS on 5/28 and it was received at St. Thomas, Virgin Islands on 5/31. The receiver even remarked how fast it got there as he is used to waiting 3-4 weeks from mailing to receive his books. |

Thomas, what can I say? You are the luckiest guy on the PBS site! Tibben, that is totally amazing! So, you both got me beat! But, I swear that is the fastest traveler that I have sent! |

I got 2 last week, both coming from over 1000 miles, in 2 days! Must be fewer packages so our media mail is riding along with first class. |

My book packages mailed on Saturdays seem to arrive at their destinations the fastest. I've had some that rivaled Terry's experience. I wonder why that is? |

I wonder if they move faster on the weekends because most businesses aren't shipping things on Saturdays.

I have another book to mail out. This one is going to North Carolina. Shall I wait and take it to the PO on Saturday again and see what happens?

That would help the experiment...... |
